Mookaite  Heart  (aka Mookite, Mook Jasper & Australian Jasper)

This polished heart shaped stone features beautiful patterrning on both sides, the approximate size is 57mm across x 46mm high x 

Mookaite is a uniquely Australian Jasper found only in Western Australia, close to the Kennedy ranges near Gascoyne Junction  about 160kms inland from the coastal town of Carnarvon.  It is a combination of yellow, cream, red and burgundy which features beautiful patterning either together or as single colours.

The name "mookaite" is derived from the locality where the rock is found, namely Mooka Creek.
According to locals, the Aboriginal word "mooka" means "running waters", no doubt in reference to the many fresh water springs that feed Mooka Creek.

It provides a useful balance between inner and outer experiences. It also imparts both a desire for new experiences and a deep calm with which to face them.  It encourages versatility and flexibility and points out all possibilities and assists in choosing the right one. 

Physically it is a stabilising stone which fortifies the immune system. helps to heal wounds and purifies the blood.
