White Grapefruit oil has an energising and stimulating effect on body and mind. It's zesty, fresh scent can help lift emotions and is revitalising if you are suffering from mental exhaustion or general tiredness.   It also sharpens memory and mental clarity so it's helpful in a workspace or study area.  It can also be used as an airfreshener to eliminate unpleasant odours in the kitchen or bathroom or to detox a space  where the energy has become stagnant.  Add 8 to 10 drops to water in a spray bottle, shake well before use.

On the physical level, Grapefruit oil aids lymphatic drainage, helps boost metabolism and assists weight loss. Massaged into the skin its diuretic and cleansing properties combat cellulite and water retention and boosts circulation.  As a massage oil add 6 to 8 drops to 2 tablespoons of base oil to cleanse the skin and detox.   Grapefuit oil's gentle antiseptic and astringent effect also make it ideal for oily complexions, open pores and acne as well as oily hair. It helps to tone and tighten the skin. 

It's also helpful for the relief of muscle and joint pain and tension headaches - just add a few drops to a favourite base oil and use as a massage blend.
